The art of caretaking has always stood firm in Nia’s purpose. In her nine years within the family service field, she's paved her own path to success as a nanny - RBT specialist - family advisor - and now Doula, steadily evolving her career within the Northern Virginia area.
Nia provides traditional and practical support to parents during the transition of welcoming a new baby. She supports families during the birth, postpartum, bereavement, and infant stages- holding space for every moment in early parenthood.
Nia offers support that accommodates the unique needs of every family.
In birth settings, she is an advocate and grounding presence—supporting physiological birth, informed decision-making, and honoring each family's chosen birth plan.
Upon baby’s arrival, mothers can expect traditional postpartum care that treats postpartum as an essential right of passage. Nia understands that mother and baby require rest, nutrition, and physical care to protect their long-term and immediate health and wellness.
Furthermore, she donates time to bereaved parents who have experienced a loss during pregnancy, birth, and/or postpartum; more information about this service can be found here.
