About nia speight

The art of caretaking has always stood firm in Nia’s purpose. As firstborn to two courageous parents & the eldest of three brothers and one sister, she was gifted early on with the awareness of how to support family. 

For Nia, supporting a family means to protect, to educate, to appreciate, and to commit to your role.

Nia is a Postpartum Doula through DONA International. She provides practical, emotional, and informational support to parents through the transition of welcoming a new baby. 

She holds six years of experience as an in-home caretaker to newborn, toddler, and special needs families. 

In addition, she’s had the privilege being a Family Service Advisor at a historical cemetery in Annandale, Virginia. 

Nia gives personalized care to accommodate the unique needs of every family; practical support (ex. errand running) and emotional support. 

A focal point of her work includes referral to postpartum and family support resources for new, experienced, and bereaved parents.
